3 Day Patagucci

$0.00

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54187407

Difficulty Level: Very Difficult

Limited Resources, unpredictable resupply store hours, and vast exposure to the sun makes this a highly difficult route to attempt. Full route best suited for seasoned bikepackers.

Equipment:

As far as bikes go, this is a mountain bike route. Gravel bikes acceptable with larger 50mm tire clearance recommended. Dropper posts may be necessary for the AZT trail section. Minimal trees at the campground in Parker and near the primitive site at the San Rafael Valley does not make this ideal for hammocks. Plan on carrying at least 4/5 liters of water. All known resupply spots have been marked. Day 1 consists of leaving in the afternoon and arriving at night. Riders should come prepared with proper lights for day 1.

Day 1: 37.4 miles & 3,764 feet of elevation

Day 3: 48.4 miles & 3,400 feet of elevation

Day 4: 28.6 miles & 2,095 feet of elevation
